- Developing Department’s infrastructure by equipping it with the latest research and education facilities, and by providing access to relevant recent research resources;
- Substantiating the theoretical training of students based on the current state of the art nationally and internationally;
- Facilitating the participation of students in BS, master's and doctorate degrees to applied research projects, internships and consultancy offered to companies;
- Ensuring national and international visibility and recognition of the staff both in the country and abroad, by publishing the results of research conducted;
- Establishing collaborations with academic and research institutions in Romania and abroad, as well as with representatives of local and international businesses environment in order to implement research projects, with favorable echoes for increased impact and network expansion and strengthening of the Department.

Management Department’s members have attended and are currently involved in many types of projects and national and international research programs, as coordinators (project directors) or as partners (team members): FP6, PHARE, Structural Funds, projects financed from the National Plan for RDI, projects within SOCRATES, ERASMUS, LEONARDO DA VINCI schemes etc.
For research purposes, the Department has a modern entity destined for modern research in management and related fields: The CAM Center.
Management Department is organising (from 2 in 2 years) the international conference ICMIE(http://www.icmie.ro).
CENTER FOR ADVANCED RESEARCH IN MANAGEMENT – CAM
The objectives of the research Center are:
• Attracting funding on a competitive basis through the implementation of national and international research projects;
• Developing the facilities to provide the necessary infrastructure for teaching and research;
• Human resource development by involving the Center in the preparation and training of students from the first years of study to master and doctoral degrees;
• Promotion and dissemination of scientific and technical knowledge through conferences, seminars, publications, memberships in professional associations and specialists exchange;
• Initiating and developing new directions in the established research areas;
• Promoting national and international cooperation in education and research.
Activities in the CAM Centre focus on three main areas: research, consultancy and human resources training.
